Pomeranian vs Human
Pomeranian is a spitz type dog breed and is named after the Pomerania region in Central Europe. It is also known as "Pom" or "Pom Pom".

History and Origins
Pom has became show dog since 1890s. This breed has been among the most popular of dog breeds, consistently in the top 15 of registered AKC dog breeds over the last 10 years. The breed also shows up regularly on television shows and commercials.
Group
Together with Chihuahua and Papillon, Pomeranian is recognized as Toy Group under both American Kennel Club (AKC) and The Kennel Club (UK).
Living Condition
Small dogs like Poms are definitely suitable to live in apartment or condominium. Poms are active breed, so they enjoy indoor spaces for them to run around.
Exercise
If you want to avoid your Pom to be hyperactive indoor, I am strongly recommended you to bring him for exercise at least 45 minutes daily. Otherwise, he might drive you crazy in the house.
After the exercise, you may follow with Pomeranian Puppy Training session. You may find that your Pom will response better to your obedience command after he has enough daily exercise.
Shedding
If you choose this breed, you definitely have prepared to be a daily groomer. Pomeranian's double coat could shed constantly. You should brush the hair daily so that the dead hair will be cleaned up and the coat will become pretty again.

General Appearance
This small dog breed has pointed ears and short and straight muzzles. Its tail is usually curled over the dog's back. His body is compact and neck is short. His eyes have very attractive shinning almond-shaped with dark color.
Coat and Color
It has soft, long, thick fur. A Pom's fur can be many different colors including white, tan, black, brown, orange, sable, wolf, or white with colored markings.

Characteristics/Temperaments and Energy level
Pomeranian's temperaments are friendly, playful and active. They are also very intelligent and easily trained. They rank 23rd in Stanley Coren's The Intelligence of Dogs, being of excellent working/obedience intelligence. So, if you have a proper guidance on Pomeranian training, your Pom should be housebroken anytime.
The breed is known to be very protective of their owners and loves to be around them. And usually, Poms socialize well with other dogs, animals, and people.
They tend to usually be good with kids from the age of 3+ if raised with them from the start. Because of their size, they do well in condominiums and apartments, but they are able to adapt to most any situation or environment.

Pomeranian is a high energy small dog breed which puppy training is necessary. You should teach your Pom on what he can do and what he can not do at your house. He must know the rules or else he will mess up your house.
You need to act as a pack leader, so that he will obey your training commands. With consistent Pomeranian training, your Pom should be able to be house trained within a few weeks.
For general house training session, you can teach him potty training with training command like "Potty time" or "Go Potty". Some intelligent Poms only need a week time to understand this command.
Next, you may continue with crate training. This is to make sure that he learn to associate crate as something positive and NOT a punishment.
